Organizations such as the California Water Environment Association (CWEA), the American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists (AAEES) and the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) have recognized the Sanitation Districts’ wastewater management efforts with numerous awards for our innovative projects, operations excellence, outreach, and research, to name a few.
Peak Performance Awards from NACWA
As a testament to our operational excellence, year after year, our wastewater treatment plants receive Peak Performance Awards for consistently producing clean water that protects public health and the environment.
This awards program has three categories: Platinum for facilities that have achieved 100% compliance with their permit limits for five or more consecutive years; Gold for facilities that have achieved 100% compliance for a year; and Silver for facilities with no more than five violations for a year.
