Recycled Water Program Resources and Information The links below provide documents and information relating to the use of recycled water for the Sanitation Districts' recycled water purveyors and users. There are separate versions for each of the following documents depending on the location of a project. For projects in the Los Angeles Basin and the Santa Clarita Valley, use the Joint Outfall System/Santa Clarita Valley (JOS/SCV) version. For projects located in the Antelope Valley [County Sanitation Districts Nos. 14 (Lancaster) and 20 (Palmdale)], use the Antelope Valley (AV) version. Please contact us if you need further information. Sanitation Districts' Recycled Water Users Handbooks The handbooks were developed to assist purveyors and users in understanding the Sanitation Districts' recycled water requirements. These handbooks are intended to be used by anyone who obtains and/or uses recycled water from the Sanitation Districts. These forms can be downloaded and printed. Frequently used forms and information are in bold.Los Angeles Chapter of the WateReuse Association Recycled Water User Manual Supporting documentation and other information can be found on the Los Angeles County Recycled Water Advisory Committee (LACRWAC) website. LACRWAC Recycled Water User Manual (link to PDF document on external website)Recycled Water Users Site Supervisor Training Program The Sanitation Districts own and operate 11 wastewater treatment plants, 10 of which produce recycled water. These facilities serve approximately five million people in 78 cities and unincorporated county areas within Los Angeles County. The Sanitation Districts’ Recycled Water Program satisfies all requirements in the Sanitation Districts’ reuse permits and in the California Water Code for Master Reclamation Permits. As part of the program, the Sanitation Districts have adopted Requirements for Recycled Water Users. The Requirements stipulate that Reuse Site Supervisors must receive appropriate training on all applicable requirements for reuse sites, proper operation of recycled water facilities, and worker protection at reuse sites. For Sanitation Districts Nos. 14 and 20 (Lancaster and Palmdale), all operation and maintenance staff for projects receiving recycled water must receive training as well. To allow recycled water users to fulfill this obligation, the Sanitation Districts have developed the Recycled Water Users Site Supervisor Training Program. The most recent Schedule of Site Supervisor Training Classes and registration information for the classes is provided below.
