In January 1982, the Sanitation Districts' Board of Directors implemented a number of measures designed to safeguard the integrity of the regional system of solid waste management in Los Angeles County. These measures included the following ordinances: Ordinance Regulating the Extent of Use of the Puente Hills Landfill Site, effective January 1, 1982 Prohibits the disposal of waste generated within the City of Los Angeles at the Puente Hills Landfill Ordinance Regulating the Extent of Use of the Districts' Solid Waste Facilities, effective July 25, 1984 Prohibits the disposal of waste generated within Orange and San Diego Counties at any of the Districts' Solid Waste Facilities In order to implement these Ordinances, all users of the Puente Hills Landfill are required to register with the Sanitation Districts. Each registered user will be allotted a monthly tonnage based on the information provided to the Sanitation Districts. The following registration packet and wasteshed map are for customers who wish to use the Puente Hills Landfill only. You must register, separately, for the use of Calabasas and Scholl Canyon landfills. The registration forms and declarations must be completed and returned to the Districts. Failure to return the declarations or registration forms may result in the loss of disposal privileges at the Puente Hills Landfill. No additions or deletions to the declaration are permitted.
