In January 1982, the Sanitation Districts' Board of Directors implemented a number of measures designed to safeguard the integrity of the regional system of solid waste management in Los Angeles County. These measures included the following ordinances: Ordinance Regulating the Extent of Use of the Puente Hills Landfill Site, effective January 1, 1982 Prohibits the disposal of waste generated within the City of Los Angeles at the Puente Hills Landfill Ordinance Regulating the Extent of Use of the Districts' Solid Waste Facilities, effective July 25, 1984 Prohibits the disposal of waste generated within Orange and San Diego Counties at any of the Districts' Solid Waste Facilities The wasteshed map is for customers who wish to use the Puente Hills Landfill only.
