Estimated Closure Times of Districts' Solid Waste Facilities
As a condition of the Districts' operating permits, each landfill has a daily tonnage limitation. Once the tonnage limitation is reached, the landfills are closed to all loads except segregated dirt, asphalt and green waste.

Ban on Disposal of Universal Wastes

As of February 8, 2006, universal wastes are to no longer be put in the trash. Subsequently, these waste are no longer accepted at Sanitation Districts' facilities.

• Sanitation Districts' personnel will follow the same procedures for Universal Waste as they do for any hazardous wastes that are found in any truck.
• If a truck is discovered to have any hazardous waste while on site, that truck will be asked to leave without dumping its load.
• If Sanitation Districts' personnel discover that a load contains hazardous wastes after the truck has left the site, the company owning the truck will be charged for any and all costs associated with proper disposal of the hazardous wastes.

  Green waste, dirt and asphalt loads are accepted during the following times, Monday through Saturday unless otherwise noted. Hours may change without notice. Please call the specific landfill for the Sanitation Districts' current hours, conditions and specifications for accepting these materials before delivering loads.
