Landfill Information on Universal Waste, Green Waste, Dirt and Asphalt Ban on Disposal of Universal Wastes As of February 8, 2006, universal wastes are no longer to be put in the trash. Subsequently, these wastes are no longer accepted at Sanitation Districts' facilities. Sanitation Districts' personnel will follow the same procedures for Universal Waste as they do for any hazardous wastes that are found in any truck. If a truck is discovered to have any hazardous waste while on site, that truck will be asked to leave without dumping its load. If Sanitation Districts' personnel discover that a load contains hazardous wastes after the truck has left the site, the company owning the truck will be charged for any and all costs associated with proper disposal of the hazardous wastes.
