The Districts Laboratories Section is comprised of several different analytical groups located at ten different facilities. All laboratories operate under one centralized quality assurance program.

• The San Jose Creek Water Quality Laboratory is our main facility. Separate areas are specifically designated for general chemistry, organics extractions & analysis, trace metals digestion & analysis, microbiological examinations, bioassays, and research methods. The QA/Sample Receiving group is located at this laboratory, and there is also a main stockroom where supplies and chemicals are dispensed.
• The Joint Water Pollution Control Plant Water Quality Laboratory is our newest and most modern facility. The laboratory has analytical areas similar to those above.
• Each of the Districts’ wastewater reclamation plants has a laboratory facility where laboratory technicians collect and analyze process control samples promptly and independently.
