Think Watershed

The Sanitation Districts are a proud partner of Think Watershed, a program that educates students about the watershed’s impact on the marine environment and inspires them to become stewards of the environment. The program is offered to students in Grades 4-6.

Students participating in Think Watershed will engage in hands-on activities to learn how human behavior affects the quality of air, water, and habitat. The centerpiece of Think Watershed is a floating lab boat trip, where students participate in marine science learning activities on a 3-hour cruise in Long Beach harbor. Other components include a teacher’s guide with classroom lessons.

Currently, funds are available for free field trips, including funding for both the boat trip and bus transportation. For more information and/or to see if your school qualifies, please visit www.thinkwatershed.org.
