Earth Day 2009

Join us on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for Earth Day 2009! This is a free community-wide event that seeks to promote environmental awareness and education for the whole family. The event features educational booths, interactive workshops, arts and crafts, activities for children, and entertainment such as music, an environmental magician, dance performances, and more. Learn what you can do to conserve and protect the environment! Earth Day 2009 will be held at the Sanitation Districts Joint Administration Office Parking Lot, located at 1955 Workman Mill Road in Whittier. The day is filled with free family fun! Please bring your CRV beverage recyclables. They will be used to purchase LifeStraws, portable water purifiers, for people in developing countries who have no access to clean, safe water.
