NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Agent of the County Sanitation District No. 2 of Los Angeles County for REPLACEMENT OF THE JOINT WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT PRIMARY TREATMENT CONTROL CENTER BUILDING ROOF 

DUE DATE & TIME: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2017 AT 11:00 AM

DESCRIPTION: Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals required to remove all old existing roofing materials, prepare surfaces, repair Buildup Roof (BUR) and drainage as needed, and install Weather Weld Ambient Applied Seamless Reinforcement Composite Roofing System per Specification WW-R-16-30-A to approximately 3,500 square-feet of gravel-surfaced roofing. All work shall be conducted in accordance with the Special Provisions dated November 2017.

A mandatory job walk is scheduled on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the jobsite.

All bids shall be accompanied by a bidder's surety equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond from an admitted surety, made payable to "County Sanitation Districts No. 2 of Los Angeles County".

The successful bidder shall be required to provide good and sufficient bonds for the faithful performance of the work and for payment of laborers and materialmen as required in the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, 2015 Edition, and the Districts' Amendments dated 2015. Bonds shall be delivered to the Purchasing Office of the Districts within ten (10) days of award of purchase order.

The successful bidder shall be required to provide certificates of automotive liability, worker's compensation, and contractor’s liability insurance naming the "County Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County” as additional insured upon award of order, prior to commencement of work.

Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Labor Code of the State of California, not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft or type of workman needed to execute the work contemplated under this agreement, as ascertained by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, shall be paid to all workers employed on said work by the Contractor or by any subcontractor doing or contracting to do any part of said work.

A copy of the listing of the general prevailing wage rates may be obtained from the State of California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Labor Statistics and Research, Prevailing Wage Unit, P.O. Box 420603, San Francisco, California, 94142-0603, or by, visiting their website at www.dir.ca.gov.

This is a public works project subject to the prevailing wage requirements of the California Labor Code, Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded a contract or subcontract for this project unless it is registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and pays the required registration fee pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.

All bidders must have a valid California Contractors License in the classification of C-39 at the time of the bid.
