Southeast Resource Recovery Facility (SERRF)

The Southeast Resource Recovery Facility (SERRF) is located in the City of Long Beach at 120 Pier S Avenue, west of the Terminal Island Freeway, just north of Ocean Boulevard on Pier S Avenue.

OPERATION:

The site is not open to the public. Only pre-approved and pre-registered licensed waste haulers may use the facility.

The facility is owned by a separate authority created by a joint powers agreement between the Sanitation Districts and the City of Long Beach, but is operated by a private company under contract. The facility accepts only non-hazardous municipal solid waste. Disposal of liquid or hazardous waste is not allowed. Hand loads are not accepted. The scale house is open to haulers from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, and closed on Sunday. The site is closed on select holidays.
