Scholl Canyon Landfill 
The landfill is located in the City of Glendale, just north of the 134 Freeway. RESTRICTED WASTESHED:An ordinance passed by the City of Glendale limits disposal at the landfill to solid wastes generated within the Los Angeles County incorporated cities of Glendale, La Canada Flintridge, Pasadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre; the Los Angeles County unincorporated communities known as Altadena, La Crescenta, Montrose; the unincorporated area bordered by the cities of San Gabriel, Rosemead, Temple City, Arcadia, and Pasadena; the unincorporated area immediately to the north of Arcadia, and Pasadena; and the unincorporated area immediately to the north of the City of San Marino bordered by the City of Pasadena on the west, north and east sides. View the map showing the Scholl Canyon Landfill wasteshed area. OPERATION:The landfill is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday except holidays. Due to County permit tonnage limitations, the Scholl Canyon Landfill may close early. Click on Current Site Tonnage Summary or call the landfill at (323) 245-9865 prior for estimated closure times. If the landfill is closed, click on Other Facilities to see if there is another landfill in the vicinity. This site accepts: - Clean dirt at $4.00 per ton ($30 per load minimum) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, with the exception of dirt from bottom dump trucks. Dirt loads from bottom dump trucks are prohibited at Scholl Canyon Landfill.
