Calabasas Landfill

The landfill is located on Lost Hills Road, just north of the 101 Freeway, next to the City of Calabasas.

RESTRICTED WASTESHED:

The landfill is prohibited by County ordinance from accepting waste including tires from outside of the wasteshed area composed of the incorporated cities of (service area) Hidden Hills, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks; that portion of the City of Los Angeles bordered by the northerly line of Township 2 North on the north, Interstate Highway 405 on the east, Sunset Boulevard and the Pacific Ocean on the south, and the city boundary on the west; and certain unincorporated areas in the counties of Los Angeles and Ventura. OPERATION:

The landfill is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday except holidays. Also, due to County permit tonnage limitations, the Calabasas Landfill may close early. Click on Current Site Tonnage Summary for estimated closure times or you can call the Calabasas landfill at (818) 889-0363 prior to leaving for the landfill. If the landfill is closed or about to close, the voice mail message will state that the landfill is closed. If the landfill is closed , click on Other Facilities to see if there is another landfill in the vicinity.

Clean dirt is not accepted for free at this site. Dirt is charged the tipping fee for municipal solid and inert waste. To obtain more detailed information on the Districts' criteria for accepting clean dirt at the Calabasas Landfill, call the landfill at (818) 991-4435!

Dirt, green waste and asphalt loads are accepted during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Payment at the scales must be in cash or by pre-arranged credit. No checks are accepted. All disposal rates, excluding green waste rates, include State, County, and appropriate local fees and taxes.
